....or "How to Make BBCode work for you"

I've had a few requests recently about how I embedded all those links in my artist pages.

The embedded links are actually quite easy to make. They're written in BBCode (similar to HTML but for Bulletin Boards). Here's an example (change all the brackets to square ones, eg: [color]):

(url=http://www.unsignedbandweb.com/mistrust)(color=cyan)go to mistrust's site(/color)(/url)

This will output as:
go to mistrust's site

You could practise BBCode in the "send a message" box in your Private Messages on UBW, just by typing in some code and previewing it. Alternatively, you can type some text, highlight it, and use the formatting tools above the text box. In the UBW Page Manager, there aren't any formatting tools, but you can copy and paste BBCode into most of the input boxes. To get the url (page location) for a particular page, eg your music page, you can right-click on the link you want, or copy the text in the browser address bar, and paste it after the = sign in [url=]....[/url].

If you need a proper guide to BBcode, go to:

phpBB.com's guide to BBcode

Hope that helps!
