Here in Detroit its about $2.90 or so for regular unleaded.....
They keep raising it...so as i type this, it may be different.....
they are conditioning us into thinking that $2.00 a gallon right now would be a good price when therotically they could charge no more than $1.10 a gallon and still make a little profit......its all greed brothers and sisters...Corporate Greed.
Does anyone know how much money the Oil Companies made last year (Profit)?
millions and millions of dollars..its sickening....i think ill ride my bicycle and not buy any gas at all...What do you think about that Exxon?
Sorry for the ramblings... |

Ive heard of other stories like that also, its getting bad......and unfortunatly i have a
'94 full size Bronco 4x4 with oversized tires etc...
and its all i can do to keep that thing running with the prices as they are.....but i bought it before all this happened..
As far as the Exxon thing.......i read an article that Exxon and Mobile were the two biggest Gas,Oil companies in the U.S. and that other companies base theyre prices from them....but, it comes from the media and im not a very big fan of them either...lol
another thing that stumps me is...we have a Speedway gas station about 3 blocks away and the price is $2.93 for regular..but drive 1 more mile down the road and there is another speedway by I-75 and the price is much higher....thats odd to me.
It appears that where ever there is heavier traffic or where the median household income is higher, then they charge more for gas..i could drive down to the oppressed area of Detroit and find gas prices at least $.20 cents cheaper per gallon..go figure.
There I go rambling again....lol...sorry folks

The other day when I drove by it was $3.05 for REGULAR, but I found a place that was "only" $2.93 for regular and topped off, it still ran $6.00 for an 1/8 of a tank. Pretty sad when you think it's a good price at $2.93. I've actually written to Georgie boy in the Ivory Tower a couple of times, so you know I'm on their hit list, about enough being enough. But Greed is a natural way of life in the new century. And now that they have gotton it up to $3 and above here, we'll never see it go below that. I'm guessing that'll be $5 a gallon for Memorial Day and probably somewhere around $10 for X-Mas at this rate. I have tried to organize boycotts, but there are to many "eyors" (winnie the pooh) who naysay and take the stand "there is nothing I can do" and unfortunately it's that type of complacency that has allowed this pandora's box to be opened.
It is better to try and not be sucessful than to give up and not try or do anything at all! Be pro-active, write letters to your reps! |

Yeah, I just noticed in CT the gas prices are going down. They're like $2:85 now. Why'd the prices go down? Did they find a shit load of gas somewhere? Or did they just spike the prices to piss people off and to take their money? |
