I was watching CNN earlier, 'cause I like to know what's going on, and I saw a bunch more speculation about N. Korea and Iran's nuclear programs... One of the things that they said, is that China is blaming the U.S. for N. Korea's refusal to negotiate with other countries.... The reason they're blaming us, is because our government cracked down on them for counterfeiting our currency. I'm sorry... I don't like a lot of how the U.S. government runs things, but I believe that's actually one of the smart things that we did.
Anyway, my point is there's all of this speculation amongst politicians, yet most of society seems to either not know, or they don't care. Bush isn't doing enough, though I'm not really sure what else he can do (-that's his job). He's the leader, and he needs to do more. On the other hand, we need to push him, and the rest of the government, to try to do that. I feel like I'm part of a flock of sheep or something. Lots of people do the stupid polls to vent their frustrations, but to Bush, those are like his own personal television ratings; not sources of motivation. There need to be more protests (peaceful, but still noticeable), and even just opinionated letters to political figures, so they know that they still need to up their efforts. I just don't get how we can all walk around so careless, when there are all these speculations going on. It's like, how many people know that China has been building their military, for no apparent reason? If communist China decides that they don't like what the U.S. has done, in their eyes..., might they ever do anything drastic? Who's to know for sure...? I just feel more needs to be done, or eventually we all may be in some trouble (-not just with China). That's what these lyrics are about. Other's thoughts and opinions are definitely welcome...
"Wide-Open Whispers"
-Rick, "RiCterMan," Strayer, fecit.
Whispers abroad
do not accomplish
anything.
I sense the problem,
and possibility
of combat
in the future,
is left wide-open.
What is wrong with
those who don't know?
-those who do,
but choose to let it go
into the hands of
those who whisper
over a blister
on all of our feet?
No white flag would heal
what could easily grow, to raging infection.
(Chorus):
I guess that we'll let it go,
(and let it grow.)
as politicians ponder,
with outcome of future wandering in the unknown.
Sure; why not just let it go?
(-or maybe explode?)
-whispers and mumbles.
Maybe we'll watch our freedom fall as blood.
(Moderately long Interlude, envisioned)
(Chorus, 2nd run-through)
Whispers abroad
do not accomplish
anything.
I sense the problem,
and possibility
of combat
in the future,
is left wide-open.
What is wrong with
those who don't know?
-those who do,
but choose to let it go
into the hands of
those who whisper
over a blister
on all of our feet?
Feel the burn
that may bring crutches
to us all
before we crumble.
Pay attention
to the symptoms.
This could raise
the drop of smiles.
No white flag could yield
an antidote, for such a fatal infection.
Oh well.
(Chorus)
<3x>: Leave it, to their whispers.
We'll watch, and fall.

I hope you enjoyed that, or maybe understand what I'm trying to get across. I'm strongly opinionated on a lot of things, and politics, though seemingly "nerdy, etc.," is one of them, that I have a lot of views on. Take it easy, everyone. Later! |
