Well, hello again, friends...,
It's been a while since I've posted, or written any lyrics. But tonight (today), I have somethin' new to share, and I'm really glad to do so. It's called, "Seed". I actually wrote it first yesterday morning, as a poem entitled, "Seed of Curiosity". It's about somethin' personal, and yes..., it is a love song. I rarely write songs that are all about romantic feelings I have, but what can I say...; I may have found someone. So, I hope you all like it. I'm in a real "dry-spell" with my writing, and I do miss posting (a lot).
"Seed"
-Rick, "RiCterMan," Strayer, fecit.
Oh, colorful being,
how is it so-
the way that you render
the whole, of me, calm...?
How does your voice
lead me to smiles?
-so sweet, though so sudden.
I'm instantly on.
(Pre-Chor.):
It could be nothing.
With a seed,
I guess we'll see...
(Chorus):
Who knows...?
I don't yet, but it feels
like there may be potential.
The untold
outcome will be revealed,
and with the result unveiled,
it'll either be buried for good,
or bloom into a rose.
I try to be careful,
but you're drawing me in.
Are you new-found starlight?
-new warmth on my skin?
There's little established,
but comfort is there.
I'm starting to trust you.
I already care.
(Revised Pre-Chor.):
Maybe it's nothing,
but a seed.
In time, we'll see...
(Chorus)
(Short Interlude, envisioned.)
There's no way to foretell.
-no way to make predictions.
Nothing, but patience,
will lead us to see if a garden can grow.
<3x> -maybe so.
It's possible, but-
(Revised Chorus, to begin double Chorus):
Who knows...?
I don't yet, but it feels
like there may be potential.
The untold
outcome will be revealed,
and with the result unveiled,
it'll either be buried for good,
or it may bloom.
(-rest of Double Chorus)
EnD
That's that... Like I said, hopefully it's enjoyable. I was sick for quite a while, so the only thing I was doing that pertains to song-writing, was counting as many of my written lyrics, that I could find. I also quit smoking ( ), and changed a little bit' of the way I look. I hope everyone is doin' alright today, and I hope to have more to share here soon. Cheers, love, and life, people!
