Hey everyone,

Last night was a crazy night... I had some major trouble with the blood sugar (I'm diabetic.) However, after I got that stuff back to normal, I was really happy. I really wasn't sad while I was dealing with the blood sugar either, though. Anyway, it led to me writing these lyrics... They're about feelings, obviously, and the basis, is that most times I feel really incredible, but that I must still understand that it's not going to be that way at all times. No one is that lucky. lol. I titled it "Cosmica-Emotiona", and I just wanted to come up with a quick, and kinda' creative title. Therefore, I found it necessary to add a's to end of the two words. (Ok, so it wasn't necessary...)

“Cosmica-Emotiona”
-Rick, “RiCterMan,” Strayer, fecit.

Oh my stars! It appears I’m,
caught in a whirl-wind again. -Lifting me far,
to an energy above.
There’s little of anything, but my
life, and love, and joy,
and the ever so wondrous sky.
Mystical images,
floating behind my eye-
lids, here, closed to focus,
on flowing beta-endorphins.
It’s all just a pleasant scene,
for me...,

Tonight...
-and let me not forget,
to allow my soul to rest,
on Saturn’s rings.

(Chorus):
My outer layer, gone,
No worries; I glide on.
I become attuned,
to nothing below, that could burden me.
Glance towards the moon;
take in all that sets the mood.
May I just refuse
the return from this place, down to Earth again?
I’m soothed.

(Moderately Long Interlude, envisioned.)

<3x>It’s all a pleasant scene.
-always open and free,
for me...

Tonight...,
I know that I won’t forget,
the rare experience of,
zero-gravity.

(Chorus)

Fading stars. I guess that my visit
has come to it’s end. It seems abrupt,
but I’m comforted by the
souvenirs, I’m bringing back-
life, and love, and joy.
Maybe I can come back, now and then,
to re-discover...-

(Revised Version of Chorus):
My outer layer, gone.
No worries; I’ll glide on,
and become attuned,
to nothing below that could burden me.
I’ll Glance at the moon;
take in views, as they set the mood.
Then, afterwards, feel anew
and return to the surface of the Earth again,
soothed.

(Outro, w/some words written)
I land...,
but upward, I will go again...,
back to the stars...

EnD

I know these probably look like they could never possibly work with any kind of melody, but they do. I just have to get some parts to flow well, by how fast I sing syllables... That shit's hard to explain, 'cause I'm not too knowledgeable on how music works; I just love music and writing. Also..., I want to point out that in the first line, where I wrote, "Oh my stars!", and explain what I was goin' for with that. I heard the phrase on a MadTV re-run yesterday, and I thought it sounded funny. This is a song about bein' happy...; why not add somethin' humorous? Hehe... Take good care, my friends. I'll be around. Later! Very Happy

I don't think it matters how you write lyrics...there's probably always going to be a way to portray words in music.

i liked this one- it was very up-beat and...if i may say, strange. it reminded me of a unicorn galloping on a rainbow...but that's not a bad thing at all, it has great imagery (and not so specific, so it conjures several different thoughts when reading).

Keep it up- see you!

Thanks, Jessica. I'm glad you liked these. But I just wanna' say, I wasn't saying I wrote them wrong, but rather, it may look like the words wouldn't fit with actual music. I definitely believe there's no wrong way to write lyrics... It's just gotta' be from the heart really. I mean, there are some exceptions, but you know what I'm sayin'. Later, my friend! Very Happy
