Well Well, long time no see!!! Great to see you back in here bro!!! The intro is just beautiful... I can see an improvement in your vocals too. The violin adds alot to this track. Of course the songwriting is haunting as yours usually are....
Hope to hear more new songs soon! |

Man, fantastic! Haven't seen you around for a while - just been lurking keeping my eyes peeled for people I like. It's good to hear you and buffaloson sort of collaborating on something, I always liked both of you. I agree that your vocals have improved quite a bit. Great track, doesn't sound too rough at all, and all the pieces came together beautifully, especially the violin... Man, the real thing sure topples anything that EastWest or Garritan can pump out with samples. Sounds great. |

Wow, that's a really beautiful piece.
Very nice blending of the violin with guitar and bass, there are only a few bands I know of that can do that well, and you're now one of them.
(One of the other ones is an awesome metal band called Winds)

For being recorded in your living room, it sounds very good,
I like the violin, very nice touch, its always a breath of fresh air when someone does something different with music,
also, take this as you will, but i hear alot of Stones influence!!
Great song!!

Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone! I'm glad you all enjoyed it, it was a fun song to record (for once). I've just moved house, yet again, and will hopefully get my home studio set up asap.
gunner: Though I wasn't trying to emulate the Stones I've spent many hours listening to them so I'm sure they've found a permanent place in my sub-conscious.
Thanks again!

Like the violins, very folky sound. vocals could do with some work maybe a bit of the dreaded reverb and bringing out a bit they sound a bit weedy nice femal harmonies on chorus though.
Will listen to your other stuff. |

I would have liked to mix the vocals better, more reverb as you said and bring them a bit more forward in the mix. The problem is that I recorded the guitar and vocals in a single track (it's just more natural for me at this point) and the guitar ended up being a bit too loud. My next investment is going to be another microphone and a basic mixer, hopefully that will solve the problem. Until then I do what I can with what I got, always a learning process.
I appreciate the constructive feedback. Thank you!
