We recently added our band Hoog Farm to UBW, and would really appreciate some feedback on our songs. We're three swedeish guys playing pretty punkish music, not the fast and agressive kind though. Check us out here and listen to the three songs we added.

Thanks in advance.

hey there,

welcome to ubw.

these songs sound like the could be pretty cool. The production isn't too good though, everything is really muddy in the mix..

how did you record them?

It would be great to hear a really well produced version of these tracks. Musically they are pretty quirky, which I like.... keep 'em coming...

Hi, and thanks for sharing your thaughts...

The songs are recorded "live" (no audience) in a pretty small room on a minidisc.

I hear the minidisc recording. We do that in the studio to see how a song pans out full volume and whether we need to fix/change anything.

The songs do definately sound a bit quirky. Kind of like some early Beck...
Nice to listen to too.
(sounded like the bassist hit a few notes out of key in "Baby has a way" - but maybe it was intentional)

I found an old version of "Whiskey, mystics & women" on my computer and replaced the other with it. This version is recorded in my room with Magix Music Maker, and it actually sounds a lot better. The bass is a guitar that I tuned down on the computer after it was recorded and the drums is from a synthesizer.

I had to skip a whole section of the song in the end because of the simple reason that I recorded the first half the first day, and on the other day I couldn't get the guitarr to sound right. This part wasn't on the other version aswell so you won't miss it thou...

Hey now, this song has a nice groove to it. (and better sound quality too)
Very innovative work to get the bass sound too - i like it!

I like this song, it's got a very deep dark feel to it, I agree with Seneki on the bass sound and I really like your vocals, I wish there were more vocals in the song. This song has a good potential, it'd be great with some nice layered lead guitar on it near the end, I could hear it in my head . . . . anyway very creative, nice job

Peace,
Erick
