This is something I finished about forty-five minutes ago, and altogether, it took almost three hours to write. It's very different from how I usually write lyrics, 'cause it has no actual chorus. The topic is insecure thinking, and I used a machine as the metaphorical theme. I might make quite a few changes to it, but right now, I think I'm satisfied with it. Anyway, it's called "Harmful Machine".
"Harmful Machine"
-Rick, "RiCterMan," Strayer, fecit.
Please pardon my speaking out
of worry for
dreaded, possible reaction.
That's the sound of the machine.
I am mislead by the machine.
Please pardon my tip-toeing
upon your shores.
I don't wanna' be thrown to drown.
That's the force of the machine.
I get detached by the machine.
(Vocals; no words)
Please pardon my repetition
of questions formed.
-spinning, then spit out with a frown.
That's a mode of the machine.
I am miscued by the machine.
Please pardon my focus on
what may fall short.
Sometimes, words spoken seem an affront.
That's the wrath of the machine.
I am controlled by my machine.
(Same vocals as before)
(Short, but intense Interlude, envisioned)
I cannot turn it off...
I cannot slow it down...
I cannot turn it off...
I cannot, make it stop this
<3x:> unhealthy production,
moving on, down the assembly line.

Ya' know..., I'm never too afraid to say anything here on the UBW, 'cause I speak honestly, and nobody judges my words. But offline, around everybody else, honesty, kindness, and attempts to speak openly, just don't seem to work. I say things like, "not that I think you're this..." or "I didn't mean (this or that)," many times a day, and it's because people constantly judge and misinterpret my words. If I intend to say something to someone, I don't imply it; I say it directly. The trouble is, I get overly-cautious with specifying the intent behind things I've said, because I think way too much. -and that was the inspiration behind these lyrics. Thanks, and take care. Later! |
