Hey there.. i just found this site a few days ago and I've been lurkinging here lately reading the different pages on the site. I really like the atmoshere in here.

Anyway.. here is a song from my band.. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

The song is titled "Cold Suzy" here's are the links to our Soundclick (both hi-fi and Lo-fi stream)

lo-fi URL: http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=2891137&q=lo

hi-fi URL: http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=2891137&q=hi

Now I'm off to listen to more music on this site.. Unfortunately I'm on dialup and that makes it slow-going listening to everything on here.. but I'l begin posting my Critiques little by little.

Thanks
Eric

Enjoyed the Cold Suzy tune. Good sound and catchy tune. Nice guitar solo -Eric Johnson-ish sound.

Smili,
Hey thanks for the reply.. also, your the first person to refernce Eric Johnson and the solo. He is one of my main influences.. its weired, once you learn how to play his style it becomes hard to "not sound like him". His picking and pentatonic style is wonderful.. however i definatley would not want to solo like him in all of our songs. And actualy thats why alot of our songs don't have guitar solos. Were an alternative rock band.. not a guitar band.
Thanks again for the compliment.
respectfuly,
Eric

welcome to the site, it's a great place!
yeah you have a cool upbeat song with some good energy going, I agree with smili about the Eric Johnson influence on the solo, I only wish it were longer, I love a good guitar solo . . . .nice job . . .

Peace,
Erick . . . .

Thanks Guitar man.. I love a good solo too.. but always keep em wanting more. I agree though, it is rather short. Actually the song never had a solo in it or a third verse for that matter but when we went to record this track it felt way too short. Chris, my singer, gave me one hour to write and record the guitar solo and thats probably why its so brief.. maybe if he would have given me two hours it would be twice as long.. hehe.
Yeah, i totaly dig this web site. Real personally driven. Thanks for having me.. I'm sure My singer will join any day now.
Thanks again,
Eric

hi there DAMAMA.

Sounds like early Tom Petty, very cool. It's not often you listen to a track and can tell the guys playin' are having a ball, I got that from this track which made me enjoy even more.

It's a hand wavin, scarf flyin crowd pleaser for sure. Great work.

Hey I like the song....it's a little cliche but it's done very well. The vocals are solid and the whole production is very professional. I'd like to hear more.
