Hey Everyone. I'm just curious to see how many people on the UBW have ideas for band names, for future projects they wish to start. If you have any, share 'em here, and tell what, if any, symbolic meaning they may have. I've got a few that I'd like to use, although I know it would ultimately be a group decision. I prefer that though. I want it to be a group process, all the way. Here they are:
1) MoNo DeLiCium- I thought this one up some time ago. This may sound stupid, but I did some "researching" in a dictionary, and came up with it. Mono, of course', means single; solitary, and I took the suffix, 'ium', and added it onto part of the word delicious. That suffix can mean the state or quality of something. So, I was basically going for a meaning of, "a single flavor, unique to any other, and of great appeal to the general public." I'm not a nerd..., really. I just wanted to come up with a name that was very different.
2) S.O.B.U.S. Infinite- I thought of this one about two or three weeks ago. S.O.B.U.S. stands for Single Objective, Being Unitive Sound. The idea here was that if I can ever get a band together, I want the goal, to be to create music that brings people together (at concerts, through like interests, to help others, etc.), and I want that to remain the goal for however long we make music.
3) Suddenly Sound- This one is kinda' basic. I thought of it yesterday. The first, and more obvious meaning is the idea of making music that sounds good. The second meaning, is to gain sound mind through music, and as well, try to cause other people to have sound minds, by sharing that music with them.
I love music, and I love symbolism. So, I hope others will share their band name ideas here, as well. Later! |
