(BEFORE anyone reads, i'll note that you don't have to read it. This seems less like lyrics or poetry, but a dream or a story i've had. It might make little to no sense and be completely sloppy...but okay, seriously, sorry! )
How far are you willing to fake
living a more complex life (lie)
pretending the taste of blood is pleasant,
but for heaven's sake,
you'd be no more than a measly peasant
to your "mentor" vlad!

A crooked smile would caress
the victim's newly formed scab.
A wound that no god would ever bless
but gladly use temper and stab.
Why bother to take a drink from blood you'd steal
when easily attracted donors would gratefully feel part in a deal.
From the neck you'd sip in cold greed
and feel no regret to break the deal but only take life and feed.
(I've heard a secret i'm not impressed by:
"I'm not here to convert
As humans are purely dirt;
I am to kill and at nobody's will
but mine.")
Was as you said quite openly and content
as a sign you take pleasure to violently torment.
A vampire is purely a false beauty
a dead mule taking out his duty
to merely live.

when sadly living alive turns to boredom

seems the only way to feel interest which is seldom.
(lmao, the last line will probably be confusing because of its wording. I'll paraphrase: Being dead and yearning to live is different versus living and wanting to be dead...but if you're dead you can take interest in the life you once had.
That made no f**king sense. Wow...) |

It made perfect sense.... -Kinda' a little freaky to me, because I've described the meaning of what you wrote with the last part, to people I know in person, way before now. My wording was almost exact to yours: "Now, I want to live, but how the f*ck can I consider this to be living, when I feel completely dead?!?" -Yeah, you definitely hit that dead-on right there. -Very good job. lol. Where did you write that?
I do like edgar, but i don't read his work. I don't know why...
I like his personal life story, not the stories that he makes up. =/
Man...i'm so tired. I'm going to take a break from the site today...sorry, dude!

Hey Jessica.
I never really wrote the same meaning that you wrote about, down on paper, but I've basically tried to explain it to many of my family members, in conversations with them.
You should definitely take in some of Poe's writings when you get the chance. It's pretty dark, but highly interesting and (as stupid as it may sound) beautiful. I love his literature, as well as his life story. Most people only know that he wrote many of his poems and stories while he was intoxicated, but not as many seem to know how rough his life was as he grew up.
-About posting some new stuff... I'm writing a new piece of lyrics currently, and I'll probably finish that tonight, or tomorrow sometime. When I complete it, I'll submit it. But the reason for the lack of posts from me, is 'cause I'm presently in a very slow time with my writing. Nothing has really happened, until today, to inspire me. Anyway, I gotta' run.
