This is my latest- written yesterday. I was holding off on posting, because I obviously posted like a maniac last time, but I feel like I need to post one now. It's called, "P.T.E.", and it stands for Plague of Theoretical Evidence. I'm not fully sure if there's an actual theory for the central idea of these lyrics, but the idea I'm speaking of is, "The only absolute, is that there is no absolute." I think it's a theory. But if not, I was thinking it was one, based on my recollection, and the title won't be changed. If you end up liking it, cool. Here it is...
"P.T.E."
I'm not too sure about the future.
The past and present are the futures that I wasn't sure of before.
The only difference is that
I was a teen. Teens aren't supposed to be sure,
but oddly enough, life was clearer then.
Now the only thing I'm sure of
(Pre-Chor.):
is I don't know me,
and I don't know the end
result. In simple summary,
I'm not sure of anything...(!)
(Chorus):
I gaze at the towering,
ever stationary question mark.
It's keeping me at bay, in a fool's thrown.
I'm not a fool; I just can't escape
this ugly question mark, that I disdain.
(Moderately Longer Interlude, envisioned.)
(Words to Bridge):
-And I can't explain how thoughts of wonder
came about, for me to ponder.
Answers that I can't uncover
hold me here, and leave me sundered.
-Can't explain
what stirred my brain.
-Can't fill the blanks.
-The rest, I can't erase...
(1st Verse Repeats)
(Pre-Chor.)
(Chorus)
-Can't explain
what flawed my brain.
-These empty blanks
leave me troubles that I can't erase.

If those of you who are fairly new to the boards, were to read back a ways, in the pages of this forum, you'd find that my lyrics for quite a while were a lot more positive. But I've said it before... I write with my emotions as the inspiration, and when I'm writing these kinds of lyrics (the negative shizzle), I don't change that method. I'm still a pretty happy person. It all just varies, and nothing has been happy enough, to the point that I'd write about it. So, I just wanted to mention that, because believe it or not, I hate negativity. I hope some of you, if reading, can find enjoyment in what I'm posting this morning. Later! |
