This one, as well as the last, was written about five or six months ago. It was during the beginning of sleep troubles I've been having, and so I compared them to my emotions at the time. It's fitfully called, "Insomniac".
"Insomniac"
Strangely... lifeless...,
though I'm, awake.
Ailing... Restless...
-A burden, to say the least,
and is this
what it feels like
to die slowly...?
I'm lying here, and waiting.
(Chorus):
-Waiting, for sleep.
-Close my eyes, and wish, but I'm still
here...,
waiting for sleep.
Can't I please just lay in slumber,
fall into a dream, and be in peace?
I wait for sleep.
(Moderately Longer Interlude, envisioned)
(Words to Bridge- *= lines repeat together once):
*Waiting(!)-
*Waiting for sleep.
Each time I shut my eyes, they re-open.
*Waiting(!)-
*Waiting for sleep.
All I can see is sleeplessness.
Oh... Let me sleep a while.
-For just a little while.
I can't keep waiting.
(Double Chorus)
(Very Short Musical Arrangement, envisioned)
-Head on a pillow, that serves no use.
EnD
The surgery I had recently helped me sleep at night finally, but if you look at these posts, and you see the times I've been posting, you'll see that was short-lived. The emotions, on the other hand..., well, people see my teeth a lot more these days. I'm outta' this thread now, so take care, everyone. Later!
By The way... I'm done goin' crazy with these "old lyrics" posts. For the time being, no more old ones. I'm gonna' be workin' on new lyrics to share. Two ideas are waiting to be written, as I type... |

I remember having insomnia during the summer; i loved staying awake, because i always felt the most inspiration and engery to get things done during the night.
Do you perhaps have more old lyrics you haven't posted? I wouldn't mind reading some...i haven't had time lately to read your older entries in the forum, but i'll get to doing that too. These ones were nice. |

I know I've got at least one (older one) I've been thinkin' about posting, for about a month now, but I've been debating it a little. Other than that, I'd have to look sometime. However, I can be a bit of a procrastonator at times, so I'm not sure when I'll actually get around to it.
Two more things..., I'm glad you enjoyed this, and I thank you for taking the time to read the older posts. All is appreciated. Later! |

Thanks Tom! I'm in a slow time, but not really writer's block. I've just been unable to finish anything in the last few weeks, 'cause while writing, I'll just get too tired to write the rest. I finished one yesterday finally, but I'm not too satisfied with how it turned out... But hey, good luck with findin' some new inspiration. Later! |
