Here's another old lyrical work I created. This one is from about ten months to a year ago. It's about people who basically are sneaky and mallicious, in the sense that they perform actions that can affect others negatively, but also make it a strong point to avoid having that action affect themselves. It's not about anyone in particular. -Just that kind of person, in general. Title is, "Sit Tight".
"Sit Tight"
I closely observe the way you are...
You swiftly move out of the way, as others are hit,
one by one.
Yeah, well, why not you(!)?
Why can't you be one of the tragedies(!)?
You just sit tight and smile,
cause one of these days,
you'll be in their shoes.
(Chorus):
Prepare, prepare, prepare..., (Prepare, prepare.)
because the blast will be
Greater than that of which you (-Than that of which you)
think... you will
Recieve...
Prepare.
I closely observe a dying star...
I hope it comes down from the sky, knocking you down
to the ground.
Yeah, well, why not you(!)?
You won't become a tragedy,(!)
You still sit tight, with that smile,
oblivious.
-Oblivious, in your shoes.
(Chorus)
Prepare.
(Moderately Longer Interlude, envisioned)
(Words to Bridge):
<2x>Sit tight.....;
smile.
(Chorus)
Prepare.
<3x>(Sit tight, and smile,)
Just you wait.
Eventually, You'll feel it crashing.

Totally different next to your more elaborate newer stuff, but it has a great tune. "Yeah, well, why not you(!)?" I could sing to that continuously. It's catchy. |

Thanks much. At the time I wrote this, for some reason it reminded me of Hoobastank at that part. It gets a bit louder there. -Not that I'm claiming it's as good as their music. That's not up to me to judge. I'm glad you liked it. Later! |
