This was written a hell of a long time ago- at least 2 years ago. It's about me wanting to escape the feelings of the depression I had back then, which no longer exist. I decided to call it, "Departure".
"Departure"
I'm going away from here
to where the sun shines clearer, and
where every singing bird,
sings a song, that never fades away.
-Where every soul is free,
and full of life, not endless tragedy.
I'm going away from here.
I'm going for good. (yeah)
(Chorus):
-Cause' what I want, is enlightenment,
and what I need,
is to really be,
part of the
never-ending, blissful world,
that far exceeds the place
that I am in,
that I am in, right now.
I'm going away from here,
onto another planet's hemispheres,
where every step's a new
discovery, that makes you want to say,
"Oh, how interesting." -Not the "same old."
-Not the same, old boredom.
I'm going away from here.
-Out of this, place..., yeah...

Almost five months have gone by since I got through... It seems that what I wrote about two years ago, finally came true, during that one night.  -Hope some of anyone who may be reading this, enjoyed these lyrics. They seem really special to me now. Later! |

Thanks much. 
I gotta' be honest though...; I'm solo for now. I just have words, melodies to the words, and visions for the music. Of course', if I'm able to find a band, many of the instrumental ideas won't be used, cause' I'd feel like I was being a little too controlling.
Anyway, I forgot to add one thing to the reply I left ya' a second ago: If you have more that you've written, post some more, cause' I'm interested in reading it. Later!

Thanks a lot for the reply, i am very flattered.
Your lyrics have a very smooth flow...If you could, what genre of music would you like to hear your lyrics in? These particular lyrics remind me of alternative rock (my favorite). |

-Definitely Alternative Rock, though slightly more metal, as well. I've got kind of different ideas about what I'm gonna' look for after I get a P.A., and it's centered around 2 different-sounding bassists, and a piano w/effects.
I've been really into Alt. Rock and Alt. Metal for a pretty long time. That's been my preferred genre for my lyrics, since I started writing them. Thanks again. I really appreciate it. Later! |
