A close friend of mine is making a scrapbook for another one of her friends, and the theme is the progression of their friendship over a great summer shared. So, I wrote a poem within the last few weeks, which was inspired by her decision to make it. The subject of the poem is also friendship, and as many of my poems are, it's quite short. I hope some of you enjoy it.
"Care, in a Bubble"
Dearest companion,
we walk the same line.
-Observe passing clouds,
and relate to the skies:
The broadness we find
in compatible smiles;
Those limitless feelings,
stretched farther than miles.
The moments that draw us
to the edge of that sky;
they show us the essence
of friendships in life.
We're one understanding.
-Mutually settled,
as we share what we share.
It's like care, in a bubble...

If you're wondering what the medaphor, "care, in a bubble," is supposed to mean, just ask. Otherwise, I'm leaving it all up for interpretation. If you could, let me know what you guys think of this. Later! |
