Hey. If anyone here enjoys the musical stylings of Wes Borland (Limp Bizkit, Big Dumb Face), you'll be happy to know that he is almost finished recording the debut from his band (other than LB, but "not a side project"), Black Light Burns. Yeah. I've heard about this for quite a while now, but he was busy with the LB album, so the process went a kind of slowly. But Black Light Burns has a myspace page now. -Not sure of the URL, but I'm sure it's easy to find. Take care!  Later! |

So Wes contributed to the LB album AND started his own project?
I thought he left LB in order to go start his own thing?

Yeah. Wes did contribute to the LB album as well as work on the new project. As far as him leavin' to start his own stuff, that wasn't the case.
I used to be an LB fan, until I started to view Fred as bein' kinda' lame (just my opinion), and Fred basically kicked Wes out, searched for a guitarist, and gave out Wes's personal e-mail address telling fans to "help get Wes back." So, that was a long time ago, but within the last 8 months, Wes decided to re-join. Also, Black Light Burns formed, originally, as a solo project for Wes, but they all started getting really excited about it, and now they're considering the band to be another band, but not a side project... They formed about a year ago, when I first heard about them starting the project, and they're very near finished with the debut.
I can't wait. I think Wes's creative ideas are great. I used to think it was the coolest thing, when I'd see pictures of him performing with the different stage looks, with LB. Last thing... Just in case you were wonderin' who's gonna' do the vocals and write the lyrics for Black Light Burns, that would be Wes as well. I gots to go now, 'cause I can barely concentrate on typing. -I've been up since 8 a.m. yesterday, and I'm pretty out of it. I'm in a good mood, though. Later! |
