This is a track that was recorded in october 2003, it's a collaboration with everyones input from the last band me and Bssgrl were in. It was never mastered. It's a soft rock genre I think?? some feedback would be cool and I will certainly reciprocate in kind. . . .

Play I Believe . . .hifi
Play I Believe . . . lofi

Peace,
Erick . . . .

WOW... That intro is serene!!! Very well done.... The guitar is so clean and moving. The drums stand out very strong in the mix...

This is probably one of my favorite by you!!!!

Yeah this is quite good.

The drums sound fantastic, good use of air on the sound, like the vocal echo effect. The guitar melody reminds me of unchained melody a bit during the solos. Pretty good mix for an un mastered track. Like the female backing vocals underpinning the main vocal too. Is that Bssgrl?

Oh. And great guitar sound!..

smilies all round!

Nice track.
Laid back, structured, not killer, but pleasing.
Drums do sound really good.

Cool track Erick!
Vocals are awesome! Sounds very pink floyd!
I think i'll make myself an easy-listening mix cd of unsignedbandweb artists...
and this'll be on it... and probably a few others of Erick's.

Yep that's me, thank you, thank you, thank you
Too bad we never got to finish it, I was supposed to lay down a track of me singing duet style on the lead vocals, but you know what happens when bands break up, oh well.....
I really love the acoustic guitar by Erick, it was really a sweet touch when when were recording it and definately made the song what is is........

I thought it was incredible! I loved the vox melody and Tammy's and your (Erick) vox fading in created an incredible atmosphere.
I thoroughly enjoyed the guitar solo witht he light distortion with the acoustic guitar seeping in.
I love it.

yeah I guess the drinks are on me....lets see drink drink drink drink drink drink drink drink
thanx a bunch for the feedback, it's good to hear . . . I felt we had something going on with the last band thing....too bad it ended.
This was the last tune we recorded and we were just learning how to fill and thicken the sound by simply adding an acoustic track.
anyway, thanx again!
Peace . . . .

Erick,

I like your guitar playing and songwriting, but gotta say I'm not as much a fan of your tunes with the vocals. Call me an instrumental fan. Not sure if it's the vocal itself, or if it'd be different with a different vocalist - but I just don't enjoy the tunes with vocals as much.

Your "Time to Move" or "Time to Leave" instrumental is probably my favorite of the stuff you've posted. I posted comments on an earlier thread regarding that tune and cool guitar technique

If you have time, would appreciate any comments on this thread.. thanks in advance.

hey smili, I hear ya . . . let me say that I'm NOT the vocalist on 3 of the songs I have on my page, I'm not truely comfortable with my own voice, which is why the majority of the stuff on my page are instrumentals. . . but we had some good songs with the last band we were in and I wanted to share some of them and get feedback..... To tell you the truth I'm surprised you're the first person to bring this up... . . . the plan for this song was for Tammy to add her vocal with Mark (the lead singer) to help it out seeing it's a mellow piece. . . .his voice worked ok for hard driving rock tunes........ check out "Soul of Gold" on Tammy's page and you'll possibly hear how it would've worked out....anyway, thanx for the feedback and I'll be sure to check out your friends stuff....BTW it's called "Time to go" . . lol Laughing

Peace... . .

Song reminds me alot of 70s music. I've seen some references comparing your sound some to santana, and I can hear that some in this song. Guitar is the best part of the tune imho.

Cool song. Your music definitely has a retro feel, but in a good way.
