The Archangel Media Group is looking for unique and interesting bands from all over the globe, and every style of music, be it acoustic and mellow or punky and charged. We provide the movie soundtracks to most of the leading brands of the extreme sports world, including people like O’Neill, Billabong, Rip Curl etc etc. As you can imagine, bands included on these soundtracks receive a massive amount of exposure and kudos. Four bands used on these soundtracks so far have been signed up to major labels.
Now, this isn’t going to make you rich over night. If you come across anyone offering you fame and fortune in this industry then they are having a joke. It will however raise the status of your band worldwide, and that is what leads to fame and fortune. And best of all it costs you nothing.
So, mildly interested? What next? Well, send us a copy of your E.P to the address below. (And don’t worry, sending it to us doesn’t mean we can use it without your permission. Unlike a lot of the other sharks out there, we stay 100% above board) We will then check it out and drop you a line to discuss this opportunity.
Many thanks for your time, we hope you have a passably good week.
Kind Regards
The Archangel Team

Long time, everyone! Hi Tom.
I sent some stuff off to Archangel a while ago and I've now got a track on their latest DVD project (a copy arrived today, in fact). I'd recommend them if you want some free publicity. I think the figure for this project is around 5 million discs being sent out. I had someone I know in the legal side of the music biz check out the contracts and they couldn't see any problems or any con. There seem to be a lot of companies around at the moment who want YOU to pay THEM for the privilege of being on their CD or DVD, so if you want some publicity, go for it. I've also spoken to Tom a few times and he seems a genuine guy (don't you, Tom!)
Do I get any freebies for saying such nice things???!!!! |

Hello Tim,
Thanks for the flattery, it will get you everywhere. A bottle of champagne and some O'Neill clothes winging their way to you right now, let me know what size clothes you take! Seriously though, we really do want to help our as many unsigned artists as we can, because if we're honest, the UK music scene is kicking its heels a bit these days. Not only that, but we promise not to rip you off etc, we're all musician here, some failed and some succesful, so we know what it is like to be at the shallow end of the industry. Our motto...give it a shot...what can you loose?
Thank you for listening, and take it easy.

Got a copy of the DVD yesterday and I was gobsmacked !!!! Amazed to discover THREE tracks of mine on the film. Tom - you didn't mention the documentary. What a perfect match - seeing the intro to Never Alone remix along with the tsunami footage. WOW!!! Thanks to the production team. Two other tracks as well.
If anyone is thinking about submitting tracks - just do it. The feeling of hearing your music on a professional DVD, backing up some amazing film footage, is just great, and will - I reckon - lead to greater things. It's already opened a few doors so far. |

Don't worry too much. They're v.....e.....r......y slow at replying to emails, aren't you Tom? Just send them a CD with some tracks on, and they'll let you know if they can use your stuff. They've got lots of projects on the go, mainly with O'Neill.
I've had 7 tracks used so far in O'Neill's "Deep Blue Open" and "Anglet Pro", plus I've signed to another one due out sometime this year. It's a lot of exposure, so definitely worth doing it.
Message to Tom (if you're reading this): "where's my shirts?!!!!" Only kidding. I know you're busy. |

Hello, I have quite a few mellow guitar instrumentals on my UBW page and some of them would probably work well with what you're looking for.
Give a listen when you get a chance and drop me a pm if you'd like me to send you a cd.

Thank you,
