"My Favourite Delusion"

I'm pretty happy with verse 1, the chorus and outro in this, but I would dearly love some suggestions/criticizms to help me with verse 2. I wrote this a few months ago.
Most of my complete draft lyrics are from a while ago, coz I've been focusing on instrumentals since then.

"My Favourite Delusion

[Verse 1]
Can't open my eyes
Without being taunted by insanity
But I feel denying this gift
To be no less of a travesty;
Each particle of light
Bombards me with impurity
But I fight through this life
To be rid of my obscenity

[Chorus]
I cast my eyes above
To my favourite delusion
Where I fly up on high
And I find all my solutions
I close my eyes and smile
In my favourite delusion
And I don't wonder why
Life is filled with disolution

[Verse 2]
I recall the time when I
Lived fearless in security
Naive to this sin
That plagues all of humanity
I never thought that I
Could of this vice be guilty
So I hide away inside
And escape into reverie

[Chorus]

[Outro]
I cast my eyes below
From my favourite delusion
And I watch as you live your lives
Trying to gain some resolution
I close my eyes and cry
In my favourite delusion
As I realize I'll die
'Cause my life was an illusion"

very good man! . . . that's a big . .

it's a very enlighening to me to read a lot of these lyrics realizing that we all go thru different types of stresses and when we write them in our moments of pain and solitude we feel we're all alone, but in truth we are not.
