I know from the title of this forum it sounds really hokey, but I thought it would be really cool, since I know we all like good food to chow down on, and we have people in UBW from all over the world, to trade some of our favorite recipes. So I will start it off with one of mine and Guitarman’s favorite Chicken dish that I started making, here it is:

Chicken in Chardonnay Wine Sauce
(serves 2-4)
Ingredients:

½ cup Flour
about ½ tsp of each Salt & Pepper
(2) Split Boneless Chicken Breasts
Olive Oil & Butter
Portabella Mushrooms (sliced)
½ Can of Chicken Broth
1/3+ Cup of Chardonnay or White Wine
(You can also substitute Marsala for this recipe)
Corn Starch
Cold Water

In a shallow bowl mix together flour, salt and pepper
Cut Chicken breast halves into 3rds (=/=/=) across the grain and pound thin
Cover each piece of pounded Chicken Breast with Flour mixture, set aside on plate
Heat a large skillet, (med-low) with about 1+ Tablespoon butter and some Olive Oil
Sauté mushrooms lightly and set aside in a bowl
Add more Olive Oil & Butter, as need to skillet, lightly brown Chicken, do not over cook , it should be about 2-3 minutes a side and have a slight golden color
Set aside chicken on a plate
In same heated skillet, (med-low heat) add Chicken Broth and Wine, re-add mushrooms and chicken and simmer for about 5-8 minutes, adding more wine as needed or to taste.
In small cup mix about 1 Tablespoon of Corn Starch and some cold water ( about 2+ Tbl ) add to skillet, stirring thoroughly to mix evenly, simmer for another 1-3 minutes till slightly thickened like a light gravy consistency.

We enjoy eating this dish with extra thin cheesy egg noodles and Spaghetti Squash or any of your favorite veggies.

Bon Appetite!!!!

muahaha- ramen

Directions- on packet.
Follow with a coke, or Dr. Pepper- also good with grilled cheese. Does anyone actually make grilled cheese on the grill? We've done bagels when the power goes out- that was entertaining..

2 minute noodles:
add hot water and flavour sachet to noodles
sit for 2 minutes.
eat.

alternatively if not feeling too lazy:
drain hot water
add 1 whisked egg and stir thru.
maybe add soy sauce too...

The uni student's staple diet.

I do that too, and after draining water and adding an egg or 2, wack it on a greased pan and an omelette with bacon is born

take a coffee cup and melt a pad of butter in it in micro for 10 second
add 1 egg and poke the yoke with a fork, add a dash of aromat
cover with cling wrap and poke a hole in it . so it doesn't explode
cook in micro for 1 min.
place on top of toasted buttered eng. muff.
add cheese or crisp bacon or ham or salami or . . . . or not
and slam on the lid . . (muffin top) . . Shocked
