First off, the title... It may seem very strange. It refers to the term, "ham-handed", which means: an action carried out in a clumsy or inept manner. I basically just used a play on words derived from that term. It may look odd, but it's fitting for this song, as you'll see in these lyrics:
"The Hands of Mr. Ham"
I'm not in that room,
but the light's still on, again.
I leave the broom I set out,
sitting for days on end.
(Pre-Chor.):
I hope this part of me dies soon.
I cannot pardon me, for all the shit that I do,
or don't do.
(Chorus):
I pick up...
shit fallen.
-Pieces of life;
They fall too.
Sometimes, I...
don't see them descend,
and I can't forget
each time that I find out.
Within a tight cacoon,
I wait for late development.
It looks like I choose(,) to blot out,
though my worst mistakes have no intent.
(Pre-Chor.)
(Chorus)
(Short Interlude to Bridge):
I hope this part of me dies..., (-repeat 3 times more.)
soon.....
(Revised Pre-Chor.):
I hope this part of me dies soon.
Just take it to the catacolmbs...
(Chorus)
(1st verse repeats, as main part of the Outro):
I'm not in that room,
but the light's still on, again.
I leave the broom I set out,
sitting for days on end...
I guess, at times, I'm "Mr. Ham..."

I just want everyone to know that the line that says, "I hope this part of me dies soon," is only referring to the part of me that I can get very annoyed with. It's not a huge part of who I am, but certain things associated to it really bring me down sometimes. Today that happened, so I put those emotions into this. For instance, Right now, I feel very good. I guess the reason for this explanation, is because I'd rather not have you guys think of me as someone who walks around sulking all the time. I used to, but now I'm doing just fine. Speaking of that, I hope you guys are doin' good too, right now. Leave some feedback, if you can. Later! |
