This is a poem I wrote on whatever day I wrote "Wind". Read it (if compelled to), and let me know what you get from it, if anything. It will look repetitive, but it sounds good when read aloud, and in a certain way.
"In Dispute"
When we were young,
you looked up to me,
and now you look straight through.
You grew and changed,
as I found delay.
I still felt close to you.
But then, I watched,
and now I see,
your clear sight has changed too.
You look down now.
I'm just a disgrace,
and you think you never knew.
But you don't know,
that what you've seen,
for years, was me confused.
I'm healed inside.
I've greatly changed.
It's just so hard to prove.
You're skeptical,
when you don't see.
That's why I'm left refused.
You view and judge,
without having faith,
though you, as well, can't prove-
that I'm a lie
and when I speak,
my tongue disguises truth.
Those thoughts are false.
I won't retain.
I'll remain, here, in dispute.
I feel within,
what I know to be,
and now, you have to choose-
to hear for once,
or know the day,
when I'll have to let go, of you.

This thing took me about three hours to write! Sometimes, I find I just can't stop writing. Oh well... It's fun for me, and I'm pretty much overwhelmed with time, currently. I need to restart this piece (computer), or I might break it. Sorry for bein' random, there. Lol. Later! |
