Hi All,
First of all, i would Thanks a lot Ron for his beautiful site and for the chance he give to us to be heard !
I started produced Electronica tracks one year ago, and now i can say to you, that's my point of view, Music Future is in all the Electronic Experimentations we made, i'm sure about that !
Why ? Cos it's not really interesting to re-create a style, always the same Trance sounds for example, perhaps ok for the business but not for the music !
We have all the energy and the creativity to create something new, different and personal, experimental and melodic.... music is at the starting point Feeling, Deep Feeling...never forget that.
I try to do that, not always easy but i try
We have The Right Place to be free, here at UBW, so create the surprise and we can change all together.....nice project, isn't it ? )
What to you think about that ? Tell what is deep inside...and all the rest is Dream....
Good General Work there !
See You
K. |

Hey, KDream, serious words mate. And so darn true. That's why I've tried to break the mold a little...go darker than no electronic artist has gone before.
The samey type of tunes are for those who dare not lsten to something different...10 year olds mind washed by corporate fat cats who have no interest in the ausience just the the paper stuff that fills their bank accounts.
It's a darn good idea to create something new....So, let's get too it..... |

I've been making music for years and always tried not to copy someone else's style or genre or sound, nor have I ever tried to be ground-breaking. I've always tried to produce the sort of music I feel comfortable making and if it sounds anything like other people's music, or if it's "different" - it's purely by accident. I may be making music which sounds like thousands of other artists, which means I'm competing with a lot of people to be heard by the masses, or I may be making stuff which isn't "modern" or "commercial" enough for me to get signed, but I've never been too bothered about it.
I think those people who push the boundaries of music are really talented artists, and I've got a lot of respect for them. It's sites like UBW which make it possible for people to do make ground-breaking stuff, and hopefully one day those people will get the recognition they deserve. |

always make music for yourself. if you produce for a specific commercial market you're missing heart and integrity. i will always make songs i want to hear, if others like it then all the better. but never make a song expecting it to be next big thing, you'll just be let down. |

..thanks to the technology* that allows us to directly express ourselves without being filtered by the homogenous corporate strainers. (*increasingly powerful and professional music production software coupled with sites like UBW). I have much more at my disposal here in my project studio today than I could ever have dreamed of even ten years ago. We can use hardware instruments, virtual instruments, and audio and midi samples to compose our fantastic concoctions. And then we can use our software plug-ins to twist and morph the sounds even more.
The sheer numbers of musicians and other sonic sculptors has and will continue to grow exponentially. Alot of the music that we hear coming from sites like UBW is so diverse and compelling that we're bound to get noticed by the "mainstream" audience as they inevitably tire of the cookie-cutter sounds of today. |

Yes it is all about the electronica, something to get your body moving with the hard impact of the kickdrum.... |

that explains why genre is so awkward to select. |
