It's 3:25 AM, and yet I still feel compelled to post one last thread. So, I'll post some lyrics that I wrote on the 18th of the current month.

I titled this one, "My Own", to send a message that says, "My personality is only my own." Growing up with two younger sisters, along with the fact that my parents split when I was six, left me in a life without much of a male role model. I gained some personality traits that are more feminine than masculine, and for a long time I was ashamed by it, and tried to hide it. Now, I don't care what others think. I don't sound like a girl, look like a girl, and the feminine traits that I do have, are minor. If people wanna' think badly about me, because of that, it's on them. -And that's the story. Read (please).

"My Own"

I'm ok with flowers and butterflies.
Have a problem? -Oh well; I don't care.
Tell me and I'll likely ignore it. I'd rather not
be seen that way, and accept with absorption.
Look at me in any way that you please.
It means nothing to me, and I won't cease.
This is me. Take it, or leave it.
Either way, I'll go on.

(Chorus):
This is the package.
I don't mind what others see.
It's just who I am,
and you'll never change me, verbally.
I am situated
here in a personality.
-Developed, adapted. It's satisfactory.
I show it to all of you, and I'm at peace.

I'm at peace, with me.

(Bridge):
What I am is mine.
I'll keep it.
You can't damage me
with insults of any kind.
-Oh, no.

I'll be myself.
I'll do what I want.
I'll speak my mind,
without worries.-

(Long Interlude)

(Chorus)

(Outro like Bridge, but w/backup):
What I am is mine. (I'm at peace...)
I'll keep it. (-So at peace.)
You can't damage me
with insults of any kind.

I'm at peace.
-At peace.

EnD

I don't know what else to say right now. I'm too tired to think of anything that seems good enough to me, so I'll just shock you all, and end this one quickly. Questions? -Ask. It's time to sleep. Later!

Thanks much. Smile

Yes, I write a lot. -Lyrics, Poetry, and sometimes random ideas about things I've got an opinion on.

-And about the second question you asked... It's not personal, but I'm not fully sure about writing some lyrics for ya'. The reason is only because it's much harder for me to write lyrics (or anything), when I don't have any personal emotion being expressed. Also, I'm in a situation right now, that's basically a reversal of the feelings that you need the lyrics to be centered around. I think it could easily make it even more difficult for me to write those lyrics for you.

But I'm curious... Have you ever tried writing lyrics? As you can see, there are quite a few good writers on the UBW, and if you needed to, you could get some good advice on how to go about it.

Let me know if there's anything you'd like advice on, and if I can, I'll try to help. I don't really know how much I could help, but I can try my best. Take it easy, Nath. Later!

Hey Nath. I'm recovering from a surgery, so I'm trying to be kind of quick online for a while, but I will e-mail you when I'm feeling a little more close to normal.

Again, I don't really want to write the lyrics for you, just because I think it would be cool to see what you can write, but I can give you tips based on how I write, to help you begin writing. Also, I'm not sure I'm so good a writer that I'd give you great ones, but I'll still try. Wink Just give me about a week and a half. I think I should be doing much better by then. Take care. Later!
