I'm gonna' take some advice from another UBW member, and leave this one up for interpretation. Take a look, and hopefully you'll all enjoy it.
"Wind"
The air-flow has left me.
I've returned here, to wind.
-Away from the calm.
-Paper heart; a crumbling hand.
I'm bored by dull moments.
I shiver in cold.
It's back to uneven.
-Teeth chatter alone.
The window-glass rattling.
-This loud, howling roar.
-The faces now seen again.
-Those faces glare on.
They melted away,
but soon met freezing air.
These goose-bumps, "soul-side,"
lead to "icicle tears."
As I'm crying inside,
angry gusts hit so hard.
-Blowing white feathers.
-Sending me to the dark.
Though this isn't a storm,
I can see the debris.
It's propelled. I'm not floating.
In fierce winds; feel no breeze.
EnD
This one took a lot longer, than "Air", to write. -About an hour and a half, maybe a little less. If you've read the other poem that is related to this one, let me know what you think of this, in comparison to that one. Thanks for reading. Later! |

This makes me feel like I'm looking out the window and it's snowing... and i can't play in it. Hrmph. **pouts** LOL wishful thinking though- It's only snowed twice in Houston in the 13 years I've lived there; my entire life that i can remember |

Thanks hereafter. I have one I may post here, sometime soon. -Not sure when though.
deltarain: If you have been near where I live, which is close to Cleveland, OH, you know how it can get here. This past year we broke the snowfall record, and got around 105 inches!! See, I used to live in San Antonio, TX, during the summers, cause' my father was stationed there (USAF), and I have to say that I enjoyed that weather there much more than the winter weather we get here. I hate snow; it keeps people in the house, and I wish it didn't snow much at all here. Still, I do know many people don't get much snow, and like it. So, it's nothin' against you. Later! |
