I like the way you can follow one persons train of thought over a period of time. In the forums thoughts are scattered throughout several threads.

Both are great tools.

Thanks for posting about the JOURNAL Alek, I guess I was taking for granted that everyone knew about it.

How do people actually find your journal or journals in general. I don't see a link from either the main site or from my page.

Tuttle.

Go into your private messages (link is in the "User Menu" on the UBW home page). The button with the open book on it takes you into the journal. From there you can hit the link for "Journal Directory" and you can see all the journals. Smile

Hope this helps. Take Care.

And so it came to pass that the call went out and on that day, on the hill, cloaked in blue and in red, Rodd (Guitar), called the people to him and he spake thus: “I have traveled the way and worshipped at the site of the holy sound and I was not impressed. I have forsaken my treasonous past and have seen a vision of where I shall soon pass. I have come out of the green and hilly land to seek that which I desire”. At this the people stood in wonder. “I cannot do this alone”, he yet called unto the throng, “I call on heroes to assist me on my quest, who, of you, is with me?, Who will take this path of sight and sound? Who will aid me? Who amongst you?”

Of the massed assemblage only two answered the call that day. Up stepped Daz (Drums), the much traveled friend of the soil tillers and hero of foreign lands. With him came Rich (Bass), also known as Tricky, skilled with metal and dark of countenance, together they agreed to back the one known as Rodd in his quest.

Difficult times lay ahead and their way was often barred. Oft barren also were the intervening months where they became waylaid by the evil plans of the god of connected mandible, but in all this time they forged their alliance in sweat and beer. In time their path became clear and they were met on the road by the dark and powerful Bainy (Vocals) who had heard of their quest and had come out of the dark lands over the hills to be at their side.

So, in the sight of the travellers feastgrounds by the much trodden way south, the four heroes swore their oaths, developed their plans, their schemes to win the hearts of all those who would stand in their way, their battle hymns and songs of the Lord of The Game, their words and poems that would light the dark before them and they christened themselves Vasquez in honour of a fair maiden who had gone before and drank and feasted long into the night.

(from the legend of Vasquez - Tibyus Cellarus)

After many trials and tribulations in the dark and cold, there came upon them a calm. Their minds were buoyed by confidence and knowledge, and so it came to pass that there was a time when the four heroes would venture out into the world armed only with their sound, their wood and their metal. They ventured far and wide in search of those who would give them sustenance, and eventually sought an audience over the hills, in the land of Bain, with the mighty wizard Jay, he of the sacred Hound of Trust and the holy Box of Bone. And the fabled Jay spake thus unto them, "bring yourselves and your kindred to me in the time after the solstice, and we shall make a great noise amongst the Flower Beds of Piccadilly" and so they made plans to do so in the fullness of time.

(from the legend of Vasquez - Audius Mancus Communicare)

Since that time the four heroes bade farewell to their loved ones and ventured deep into lands unknown in search of the source of the Water and the Mother of The Grape. They came upon a strange band of mercenaries out of that place who bore the marks of many a battle. The four valiant comrades sought to smite them with their mighty noise and to convert them to the cause. Much impressed though were the four, as they also encountered allies within the midst of that strange and foreign folk, and vows were made and oaths taken, to join with them in time, to celebrate the coming of the Fourth Moon.

(from the legend of Vasquez - Xenos Asprorosa)

Some time later, at the 7th meeting on the road, and in the House of The Honoured Maiden Tami, there came to the band of heroes a realisation that to bring the word to the larger throng, they would have to seek to duplicate the word and to see the word spread throughout the land.

(from the legend of Vasquez - Efta)
