Hello All,
I wrote this a day or two before I wrote "A Priceless Rarity". It's title is, "Endeavors", and I decided upon that, because of the two parts of the song's meaning.
The first, and greater, meaning of it, is about how when I write my lyrics, I always try to make them as good as I possibly can, because I know that will give me a better chance of attaining the goal. The second meaning is about pursuing that goal. That goal is to become a successful musician, not for the money, but to have an affect on the people who listen, and also, have a very strong impact with many other efforts that are music related. I don't know how much I can do if, somehow, the goal is achieved, but I will never stop trying to surpass the usual. This is what came of these thoughts:
"Endeavors"
When a gem appears
I think about it's shine,
but only when it's mine.
I want it to be
more glaring than
the majority of all gems.
I think, "Can I make this brighter?",
and, "Can I go beyond just a great appeal?"
It's all a part of my intuit.
(Chorus 1):
I'm in pursuit
of whatever may come from that shine.
I'm waiting...
for my time,
and I'll do absolutely anything
for it.
(pretty short musical arrangement, leading to last line of Chorus)
It's of greatest importance, (abrupt pause in music) to me. (music starts again)
Gems from through the years
have opened up my eyes.
They've made me realize
that I crave
something much greater than
The luster of any gem.
That is why I think, "Can I make this the brightest?",
and, "Will I get the chance to show this to the world?"
Though it's difficult, sometimes... No, I'll never quit(!)
