Hulloo,
I decided to title this one, "Winds of Reality". It's about teenagers who just f*ck around all the time, thinking that they'd be fine, due to the fact that they were catered to, completely, by their parents. I just kinda' thought, "What's gonna' happen when they have to leave the house, and start their own life?"
See, I wrote this, cause' problems I've been through have hindered a lot of progression in my "life." I know what it's like to be considered, and to also feel like, a loser, because you seem lazy. Let me tell you..., it sucks.
But those teens who have parents who do everything for them, as they do almost nothing themselves, they don't just seem lazy... -They are. I know they don't intend to be, but still, when they have to leave the house (If they're made to), they may not even be able to, because of the laziness that their parents helped them to acquire. The Words:
"Winds of Reality"
You feel safe, in your cradle,
but wait for what will come fast...
You're bottle-fed, but more than capable.
The pampering, it won't last...
Don't feed the frenzy.
The day you know
will be the day
that the diaper you've filled leaks upon you.
(Chorus):
Take precautions
so you're ready for wind, when
your age becomes your plague.
Those arms will still hold you,
but much more loosely.
You musn't remain inane.
The nurturing, is dangled
in front of you. -So relaxed.
Your infantile ways may be comfortable now,
but there's an interesting fact:
They could yield to anxiety.
Someday you may know,
and on that day
your present life could come back to haunt you.
(Chorus)
(Short Interlude)
(Bridge):
The calm, decieving air
is only a precursor.
Listen closely.
The wind is on it's way.
You don't notice the whistling,
because it is almost inaudible.
Listen very close, now.
It's fiercely blowing.
(Chorus)
(Outro begins):
Your cradle will blow away.
It's sure to come down, down, down.
Escape before it's too late.
From those heights, if you hit the ground,
It could conclude your story.
Oh...
The winds are drawing closer.
You better move along.

Anyone have any ideas of what inspired the general medaphor here? It's probably somewhat obvious... (-Not sure.)
-And about the line, "It's sure to come down, down, down." It looks horrible written out, but I think it sounds nice when I practice this one. It's seems odd though... -I never expected I'd write three words repeated that way. I'm not sure about the title of it (-maybe "Thoughtless"?), but when KoRn released, "Untouchables", I heard one song say "down, down, down," and the way it sounded, made me wonder about J. Davis. That's when I decided I'd never do that. But if you heard what I've written here, when I sing it, you'd possibly understand.
To close, as many others know, I too, know that early adulthood isn't easy. So, this song was directed towards those who are in that situation, telling them to see before it's too late. If they don't prepare now, it's gonna' be much harder, than usual, for them to adjust to an independant life, when they try to start one. |
