First off, good job on this one. It's pretty moving, and it reminds me of my lyrics about two years or so ago. Also, I like the whole speech thing at the beginning. I've done that one or two times also, though I'd never actually use those during any type of recording session. I basically write them down, and if recording does happen in the future, I intend to read those words to get the emotions stirred, and then record an unscripted intro (in speech form) to the actual song. I understand completely what you're dealing with, because not even 3 months ago, I was struggling to function day to day due to some very bad emotional troubles.
I know you may think it'll never end, because that is exactly what I thought for about ten years. But now, I feel good almost every minute I'm awake, and it happened literally overnight. I came very close to taking the selfish way out, more than a few times, and I've now learned that every time I considered/attempted that, it was very stupid of me. I later found out that the suicidal feelings, etc., may have been caused by some of the medications I was on. It's interesting how once I came off of them, all of that stuff stopped pretty quickly.
So, hang in there, because if youd have known me in person during the bad times, you'd know I went through hell, and somehow it ended without any irrational actions taken by myself. Of course', like I said before, if somebody I'd never met had told me that things can get better, I wouldn't have believed them in the least. Now that I think about it, I think that happened a few times.
Just try to keep faith, man. When people feel that way, even the smallest hope can keep them going. Cheers, and good luck!

Ah yeah... -The EP question... If I close this window, I'll have to re-type this reply. I don't know for certain, yet, the exact meaning of an EP, but I'm thinking it stands for Extra Production, based on artists I've listened to releasing that kind of recording. I shall search real quick to see if that's pretty close to the truth, and I'll let you know for sure in a short while. I'll just send a PM to let ya know. So yeah... Later. |
