get someone to stand on your sack with a stilleto heal.
only kidding.
Why copy someone else? Try and develop your own scream style. That way, you will stand out more, rather than being like someone else. Do you have any tracks on the UBW I could check out?

i don't have any tracks up yet... i'm just now getting a new band together... soon we are gonna record though and i'll be up so u can listen. i do have my own scream but it's really specific... it only works in certain areas of certain songs. otherwise it sounds like crap. and it changes... once it sounded like silverstien... then it got a lot raspier and deeper. but i had no control over it. i guess i'll keep trying... |

Yes. Keep trying, and eventually you will find that it is under control, and most importantly, it will be yours and not an imitation of anyone else.
Good luck.

try roaring one syllable words in your car until you find your sound.
And it must be extreme loud and looking at a car beside you. Windows down are ok . I do it all the time and my word is 'Aaaaaarm ! ! !' Eye contact is a no-no so look at their front wheel.
Your own word is out there so go forth and seek |

Iml, when visualizing what you said in that reply, it got me to laugh. I'd probably be really confused if I saw someone doing that next to me.
But about the screaming. I had a similar problem with attaining a scream. After a while it seemed like it might have been hurting my vocal chords. So, I decided it would be best to stop. I thought, "Why keep doing it if it sounds horrible, and could possibly prevent me from being able to sing at all?" I'm not telling you to quit trying. Just make sure you don't go overboard by accident, and screw up your voice.
I must add I like Hawthorne Heights. I used to go to a city called, Beavercreek, Ohio, to visit my father for a few summers. That is a suburb of Dayton, where Hawthorne Heights originated. That man(/kid) really can scream, like you said. Good luck, to you, and Cheers!

thanx for all of the comments iml you made me laugh my ass off dude. i already scream in my car. i dunno what the deal is... my scream sounds good but on certain parts of certain words it sounds like i'm trying to be funny or something. i dont like it. it's getting better though. my singing is also rockin out alot more. i'm digging it. my bassist suggests to get a vocalist. he's just discouraged because his vocals aren't working out just right. personally i don't want a vocalist. |

voice is a muscle like your arms and legs - keep trying and you'll nail it eventually - just give it enough time to recover and strengthen between sessions is all |

that doesn't make me scream at all joker... they don't have a yawning smiley...
my screaming is way better now but my singing is all out of whack... it's starting to piss me off. but whatever... the last few times i've played i haven't really gotten into it. it's been bothering me. i think it's time to use another instrument.
peace! vs. |
