This is a poem I wrote right after I wrote the song, "Podium", and that was what gave me the idea. It has, pretty much, the same subject matter, but I tried to make it different than "Podium". Check it out.
"Heartache"
I'm speaking sh*t.
They say and they think so.
My words are illegitamate.
They say and believe so.
They ignore.
-Complete disregard.
My knees to the floor.
I beg from my heart.
I'm speaking.
They say and they think I,
speak without knowledge.
They say and agree I,
decieve
and ignore,
with an absent heart.
I'm pushed to the floor,
and I feel set apart.
I yell, "Can't you hear me?"
They say yes, but they won't.
I feel like I'm muted.
I do try, but they won't.
They speak.
I absorb.
It hits me so hard.
I yell from the floor,
with a hand on my heart,
"You think I speak sh*t.
You say and you think so.
I'm unheard by your innocence.
I see and I know so."
I speak.
You ignore.
Still I say from the heart,
"Hear my cries from this cold floor!
Please..., stop the torment..., in my aching heart."

There's that. This was the first poem I've written in about 4-5 years, so I hope some of you felt some emotion while reading it. Anyone else here love poetry? I'd have to say my favorite poet is Edgar Allen Poe, especially his poem, "The Raven". -Gotta' love the dark stuff.
Cheers and a smile, All!

Not to be a d*ck or anything, but this one is just a poem. I just try to keep my poetry seperate from my lyrics. Anyways, it does suck to feel like everyone you know is ignoring you. Cheers, Man!
