This one is one of my latest, I wrote it about my ex girlfriend. She was a huge wh#re and other things I shouldnt say but i didnt realize that till after the fact. She didnt want me but didnt want anyone else to have me so she pretty much ruined my life. anyway this one was inspired by her.
Make-Believe
Looking back going through the photos
Remembering all the faked smiles and
Fabricated memories you once acted out
Pretending that everything was ok
Telling a story of how things were fine
When we laid under the blanket of stars
Protecting us from everything we feared
Enticed by your eyes as you drew me in
Melting at your lips I’ll never forget
Do you remember the day we played make believe
You dressed like an angel saving me from this world
I bare my heart for you soaking through my sleeve
The final act played out and my heart fell from your hands
Hitting the floor I watched it shatter
Like a thousand broken memories sketched in my mind
My phone rings from you, but I can’t pick up
It’s too late, you’re too late
My heart can’t be mended, wash away these memories
Your words mean nothing to me now
I can’t believe in your regrets, tonight you’ll mourn alone
Tonight we’ll play make believe I’ll hold your hand
Tell you everything’s fine and take you in
But can you taste the deceptions melting on my lips
That I once read in your eyes days before
I can’t hold you anymore, I can’t love you again
Love was just a fabricated memory we once acted out |

Man, I have seen one horror story outcome that was similar to what you described before you typed out the actual lyrics, and I'll tell you... It was pretty screwed up. I'm sorry about your situation. Some women are absolutely demented, though luckily that's a rarity for the most part. The unlucky aspect of it, is that some do have to deal with those "pleasant" people. I don't know how bad it's been for you with that, but dude... the situation I saw going on for about a week at a past place of employment dealt with the guy, a seriously troubled ex-girlfriend, her strange obsession, and a child.
Aside from that, the lyrics are nice. I like the symbolism and imagery you used. -very creative. Cheers, you!

Wow. Best lyrics I've read in a while.
I sang along to what I imagined the vocal melody would go like... and it sounds briliant.
Do you remember the day we played make believe
You dressed like an angel saving me from this world
I bare my heart for you soaking through my sleeve
I realy liked those lines. Briliant. I'm guessing this relationship failing hit you hard at the time... but hey. Atleast you got this briliant song out of it
