Alright, this is an untitled song I just wrote, and it would be great if I could get some feedback. This is the first write of it, so it's kind of rough. I haven't worked out a melody yet, but it's probably gonna be a folk song, just me and my guitar. There's no chorus, so I'll probably work a little harmonica in between the verses. Anyway, hope you like it.
Untitled
The mountains stand tall against the rising sun
A hawk's overhead as the buffalo run
A group people stops and settles down
In the valley with the mountains all around
The mountains stand tall beneath the noonday sky
There's talk of gold in the hills up high
They come and build their houses, bars and shops
And they build up rails for the train stops
The mountains stand tall beneath the setting sun
School is out, the workday's done
The children laugh as they play and share
As adults read the paper and the radio blares
The mountains stand tall in the middle of the night
The city's lit up by neon lights
A plane's over head as the cars fly by
Apartment building pierce the blacken skies
Anyway, that's it. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.
