Drewphoria..
Listening to Someone to watch over me.
First of all, I really like the song itself. Musically there are a couple of things I would point out. I think the guitar effect if overdone (too much reverb...). Also about 2 minutes into the song there is a bridge and the drums start sounding REALLY thin. Other parts of the song the drums sound better.
I enjoyed the song though and I think it's got mucho potential!!!!!
Great to have you here!

Thanks for the review, and thanks for the site, Ron. You do a good job.
You know, as much as I've listened to that tune, I'd never noticed the drums dropping out at the bridge. We recorded the drums in one take, so my best guess is with eight tracks of guitars during the bridge, the drums got compressed down during mastering. Interesting. I'd tend to agree with you about the guitar being a bit over-effected, too, when I listen to the MP3. Listening to the wav file, though, tends too make me think that the guitar sound may just be revealing the limitation of MP3.
Thanks for the kind words on the song itself. That's our main focus. If/when we get signed, we'll hire a professional engineer to record it better than we can ourselves. |

So well,
I'm not really on the "rock" side of music so dunno if my feedback will be a great thing for ya...
"someone...." : I havn't find anything original in this track but overall it sounds so professional, mastering is so good and vocals are perfects!
I liked how it goes at 2'23!
"leave" : i will really imagine a little "electroni athmosphere touch" in the back of this track...maybe a scape....same as "someone...."..it sounds so pro, guitars are perfect and drums at the beginning have a nice touch!
Overall this is a very good musical work!
I one day ya have some time to waste I'll be happy to recieve some "guitar riff" from ya to use in some pumpin house tracks!
peace
and take care

Thanks, Alek. Let me know what you're looking for, and I'd be happy to provide you with some guitar. Review of your stuff to follow. |

Alek, I listened to "My Obsession" and "Important News"
First of all, I'd like to say that I'm not the biggest fan of Electronic music, so I probably can't tell you much that will be useful...
"My Obsession" was OK. Nothing particularly drew me in, but nothing turned me off.
"Important News" was actually pretty dang cool. You've obviously got great mastery over the stereo field. I like what was going on around 2:20. Overall, the track had a very "cool" feel to it, and made me want to listen. Only drawback, I would say, is that after a while, it got repetitive (which is a complaint I have about electronic music in general) and thus seemed a bit too long.
Overall, very cool stuff. |
