I just heard the most awesome band, kinda like a cyber janes addiction meets nine inch nails or something. well cool. they're called sci-fi mafia and i think they're from birmingham or somewhere close to birmingham. i just done a search and found some music downloads on myspace.com/sciencefictionmafia i suggest you do the same |

Hello I am new to here, and work in media.
Sci-Fi Mafia , I have seen them live. 
They are awesome , I love their sound. They are from the coventry area,
and mix electronic sequencers and pulses with a slight metal/alternative
guitar adding the gothic style of the insanic Jason Vines vocal,who sounds a cross between a Perry Farrell/John Lydon/Brian Molko .
But how heavy and manic the sound is, there is always a strong melody running through it, as they are not only excellent musicians but strong songwriters too.
Some media are saying they are a cross between Janes Addiction/NIN
/Placebo/linkin park/numan . I dont know myself, because to me, its Sci-Fi Mafia and they are english,exciting,attractive ,pyschotic and have the complete product.
There is a big vibe about this band from people I work with and it wont be long until they are signed as I hear they have some offers on the table.

Hi people ,
We , Sci-Fi Mafia are going into the studio in July to work on the album synthetic terrorism, and have a uk tour hopefully lined up for November 2005, giving us time
to work on new tracks through the summer ,ready for an assault on the planet earth
through autumn.
There were be a few low key dates to test out new material,keep you informed and
there are some festival dates being planned for 2006.
Jamie will be in Japan ,spring, next year touring with UK Subs, so he will be practicing
with chop sticks more than drumsticks.
Thanks for the support we are getting and the wicked vibes coming from you earthlings!!
