Confused
I'm impressed with the quality of music on this site and the site in general, but am having major problems posting my music. Is there something that I need to have installed? I've got Wavepad, Acid-Express, Real Player v.10. and Nero wave editor, but keep getting an error message when uploading my files in wave format. Do I need to convert it to a specific format? Am I totally thick or just on the surface? Any help would be appreciated? thanks; LOCKSTA

At this point we only accept .mp3 and .wma files. I would personally recommend .mp3 .

Wave files are simply too large, up to 10 times the size of a typical .mp3

We don't have a limit on the bitrate of .mp3's that you can upload however, but there is an overall size limit on the free account of 15 MB. If you encode your songs as mp3 at 128kbps you should be able to fit three complete songs, and depending on their length, lo-fi versions of those songs as well.

Thanks for the question, and if you need any help converting your songs to .mp3 let us know.

Listening to your songs now, very nice! I like the combination of sounds and vocals.

To create lo-fi versions of your songs, use the "lo-fi" creator button on the bottom of the buttons in the page manager. This will bring up a list of your "hi-fi" songs and let you create lo-fi songs from each of them!

Of course they would have to fit within the 15MB limit for free accounts...

Great to have you here! Your songs are awesome!!!

Great tracks! really good.

Sounds like you've got sorted with the uploading. Just wondered what equipment you're using to make your music. I guess you don't just use samples in Acid Xpress? Have you tried submitting your music anywhere else - you'd do really well and get a lot of exposure.

Thanks for the comments.
The only equipment I have at my disposal is a disc called 'Music 2000' by Jester Interactive. It comes in PC version or Playstation version. I have both however, the Playstation version is much more user-friendly and can just about do anything I want.(just about).
I learned about UBW from a site called 'Musicians Headquarters' (part of MSN groups) when 'Underground Nation' posted a message with a link to their music which I thought was really great and explored this site for a long time.
I don't however post music anywhere else as this is the 1st year I've making it, but would love to know of other sites to place a link back to UBW. In fact I might just do that now so that more people hear of this awesome site as I'm still in awe of the talent you and every one else here has. Cheers for now and look forward to more of your music.
