The total number of plays of my songs as reported by the charts has gone down. How is this possible? How does one "unplay a song." LOL!

The CHARTS page displays song plays for the "Last 7 Days" .

So for example, Today is Saturday July 17th. The Charts will show the top song plays between the 10th-16th. If you had lots of song plays on the 9th, they wouldn't show anymore. So basically it is a "rolling" top plays list, and will change everyday based on the previous 7 days plays.

Charts, by their nature, go up and down depending on what people are listening to! Consistent plays every week is the only way to maintain high ranking...

Now TOTAL song plays is a different story. Your TOTAL song plays and downloads will never go down. These will only go up.

Right now we don't have a "total" song plays screen, but we DO have a top plays by artist. (this would include ALL your song plays from each song added together)

To view this list, use the "artists" link instead of the "charts". Then use the drop down menu to select "total plays" or "total plays + DL (downloads)" . I show you at #3 in total plays right now. (Although your plays # here will not go down, if other artists get more plays, then they will move past you on the overall list)

Is an ALL-TIME, charts for song plays something you would like to see? It would be fairly easy to add it...

(I haven't forgotten about your song plays on page idea either... I just have some "back-end" things that need to be done first.... I will add this though!)

Thanks for the feedback!!!!
Ron

Thanks for the response Ron. Let's see if I got this right:
The play number in the charts is not culmative, but is determined by recent activity. (Just as the chart position varies.) To view overall total plays, I can go to the "Artist" pull down menu. And to view the plays for each song I can just refer to my stats page, where all the numbers are culmative.

That's actually pretty straight forward. Thanks!
