It means a lot. I'll be finished with my move in the next week or so, and should be able to start getting back into the swing of things.

We truly have a great community here.

Sincerely,
Ron

What's happened to me is that I've ended up on five sites. On the first site I bought a premium account, because their free pages look kinda crappy. Somehow I starting getting messages about other sites like UBW which offer attractive-looking pages free pages with limited space. (It's hard to pass up invitations.) So I ended up putting the same old songs on different pages. I've linked all these sites to the first one because they provide a personal message board. Consequently, the amount of time I have to experience the music of others and the community at each site has been drastically reduced. Which is shame, because all these sites have some excellant music.

Whenever I tell someone in the real world about my online music, I stress that if they don't enjoy my songs, there is plenty of quality music at each site.

What I dig is how the music comes straight from the artist: it's not filtered by a manager, producer, or music executive. And you can contact the artist directly and tell them how awesome they are!

I've signed up for a few music hosting sites and had to wait ages for the tracks to be approved first before anyone can listen to them. I know there's a good reason for this, but mine's not the sort of music that will really offend anyone (I hope!)

By the way, I submitted a copy of my original post to the readers letters page in Computer Music magazine, and got an email back the other day telling me they were going to use it in the next issue. Look out for it. Hopefully they'll use the bit I included about UBW!
