For anyone who'd care to listen to one of my songs and give me their opinions, I would be very appreciative. This song is called "Anywhere", and it is in acoustic (guitars/vocals) version for an acoustic EP which will be a precursor to my debut full band cd. Everything is written, performed, and recorded by me. I would love to hear any honest opinions, and I hope some of you enjoy the music. I would also be happy to give my opinions on your music, especially from a technical standpoint. Thank you to anyone who listens!

Hi Kris

Well i'm not into this kind of music at all but took a listen...first, at the beginning the vocals were too "in front" for my taste but after the first Chorus i dug it!
2'13 is so cool...Nice old touch in this tune....something moody ( even if I can't understand the lyrics lol)
all in all this is a nice tune with a nice feeling....

peace

Thanks for listening, Alek, especially if this sort of music doesn't generally grab you. If anyone is into this type of music, please, give the song a listen and give me your thoughts. Alek you didn't indicate you wanted a review for anything of yours, but if you do just give me the word Smile

Welcome to the Unsigned Band Web Kris!!!

I really like your deep voice, very powerful and fits the style very well. The music is very well written and recorded! I listen to a LOT of acoustic and I am really impressed with your song! We need more than one song!!

One bit on constructive feedback... I think your background vocals sound good, but they're too distant in the mix. I would love to hear them louder in the mix.

Take care!
Ron

Sounds well recorded to me. Vocal might be a tad too far out in front for my taste, but that's a taste thing.

I think my favorite part of the song was also the bridge through to the end. I didn't even really notice the background vocals, but I was listening through computer speakers. Nice guitar playing! I think your vocals are pretty well placed considering the guitars are loud. If you turned them down they might get buried. Keep doing what your doing.

Thanks very much to the new people who listened and gave feedback on my song "Anywhere", I really appreciate it. And again, if any of you want feedback on your songs, just give the word and I'd be happy to.
Minusme, I have a bunch more songs that I'm currently recording for inclusion on my acoustic EP, and I should have another for you to hear real soon.

Very good song...I like the premise....u have a good voice..almost reminds me of the lead singer from the crash test dummies if you remember them...The guitar playing is soooooooooo awesome....I like the lead accents....and the harmonies are well done too....overall man I give this a thumbs up. Did u record this yourself? Its sounds very well mixed. I record my own stuff at home and it comes out decent but doesnt have the presence of this track....
check me out if you get a chance...

Hey man, thanks for listening to my song and giving me some feedback, it means a lot to me. I did record it myself, at my house. I went and listened to several of your songs, and I'll make comments that apply to them in general. Musically, they have a nice somber feel to them, which personally is what I identify with the best. For me, they did tend to go on longer than necessary for the impact of the song though. I got a general feeling with your songs that when you had the idea across, there was usually another minute and a half left to go in the song. I have no problems with long songs, believe me, but I think in this specific case your songs carried out a little longer than necessary, to the point of detracting from them slightly. Your voice sounds real nice when you sing harmonies with yourself, and it has an appealing softness to it in general. I also happen to be fond of the sort of sentiments that seem to dominate your lyric content, so that was cool. If you'd like to talk about the home recording process in detail, since you said you liked the sound of my track, I'd be more than happy to man, just shoot me your email address or AIM screenname Smile
