A record company call me today because i apple for a intern job
its was going good of the phone until she ask me what i do
I told her i had my own home studio and i produce and record people who need a demo
Bammmmmmm
She said i could not work at the record company because i have a studio at my home and it would be a conflict of interest Then she ask me if i would like for the to market me for $150 and i was like huh
so i was like i just need to work for free and help out mybe i can learn something new
she was like i have to talk to my supervisor and i will call you back
and im thinking to myself yea right
so never tell a record company you have your own studio at your house they will not let you in
daaaaammm dammmm dammmmm
market me like give me a website and she did not go into detail
and then she aks me can i come up to the studio and do some songs
so im i waiting on her to call back hell no

Damn!!!!! Thanks for sharing the info Bruce. Good information for others that are considering similar employment. I would think they would LOVE to have someone who 'works' at home as well as at the 'office'...
Maybe something good will still come of it...

to be honest i couldnt think of anything worse than working for a record company or studio
i'd be telling them how to do things, especially in the studio telling the producer how crap his tune is lol
