just wanted to give a heads up to all the creative people in the house.
this is a wicked site! makes me excited to hear more of the different peeps
doing their thang...makes you feel the world of sounds is truly magic. given time that magic can leap tall buildings in a single bound and can capture our hearts forever with a memory so clear. each new song i am listening to is invoking a new love for a new wave.
i am humbled by all of it. envious sometimes, perhaps even alittle jealous, but always ever a fan of my new found online musical home. the doors are open and here i am giving thanks and paying homage to the inspiration i feel from this place.

for what its worth, being that its the thought that counts. i am glad to be 101.
cheers everyone.

YOU ROCK!

ch-ching....great arrangement- likin' the bluesy acoustic guitar combo with the sultry lead vocals...the low-alto-register thing is definitely workin' for ya on this tune. background vox are tasty and settin' it all up- a great touch. great snare tone and interesting drums- your band is solid. the breakdown with the organ at 1:50 kinda broke it up but you coulda maybe done something more with it? it's a good song.

sweet sunshine is straight up funky. again- impressed with the drumming, and the 70s tones of the guitar. vocals are a little buried in the mix, interesting thing putting the higher register vocal part in the verse and dropping into the lower register for the chorus. you have a nice voice in the higher register, it needs to come through a little louder. weak spot in the tune was the breakdown again (at approx. 1:50), longer this time but the keyboards just aren't filling the space everything else gave them- sounds like it needs a guitar solo (says the guitarist) or tell the keyboardist to nix the staccato chord thing and play some lead!

hmmm...third track "toll blossom" is much louder overall- that's a mastering issue- distorted country or something....couldn't figure out what to call this tune genre-wise....sorry, but i didn't dig this one; nothing specific just...didn't do anything for me.

you're definitely pushing for an overall sound outside of any given label....the bluesy thing in the fourth tune "complete me" combined with the hip-hop feel and the heavily minor vocal line...that's an original thing.

"mind if i..." made me glad i stuck it out through the last couple tunes and listened on- you really sound good in a higher register, nice vibrato. i suggest mixing up the range in your tunes a little more, like you did in this tune- it's more interesting. the little bluesy hooks in the vocal line are a nice touch. i think double-tracking the lead vocal was a good move, it sounds nice and round.

"feel it" is very quiet overall- another mastering thing. the vocal is melodically more interesting than some of the other tunes, and the spare arrangement puts them right out front. i get the impression that these tunes would go over well live- i bet you put on a good show.

little too much reverb on the vocals (and overall) on "water", but it's a great tune. maybe the most solid vocal performance on any of the tunes, i think it's my fave.

you're getting an original sound, unlike anything i'm hearing from any bands- female fronted or otherwise- and that's not easy to do when everyone and their dog is making music. solid lyrics- especially liked 'Water', for its simplicity and your delivery. reminded me a little of Prince, believe it or not....dunno why Confused

your voice sounds a little like Jonette Nepolitano (sp?) from Concrete Blonde. i think you sound best when you project hard and get some volume. thank your band for some excellent work, and keep makin' music- thanks for sharin' yer tunes.

PEACE and ROCK ON
