Hi Jd!
Welcome to the Unsigned Band Web!
I just visited your site and gave a listen to "talk to me"... Very good song! Your singer has a brilliant voice and the music is very melodic and emotional! We would love to have you add some songs here to the UBW so we could get them into our radio stations!
Take care,
Ron |

Hi Ron,
Thanks for the kind words ! very much appreciated. As a newcomer to this site how do I go about adding more songs ? Do I need to upgrade my account to get more space ?
cheers

Actually, I listened on the link you gave above in your post. I didn't realize you had uploaded something here yet..
http://www.unsignedbandweb.com/racingreen (you need pictures, LOL )
To answer your question though, you get 15MB of space for free (usually enough for 3 songs) If you would like, you can certainly upgrade your account to upload more songs.
Take care!

The bit rate of "Talk to Me" on our own website was too large to upload to this site so I added "Peace Within". Let me know what u think of that one ?
Will add more deatils to our page here when I've worked out the technology !

Listening to 'peace within'....
I like the guitar and tempo of the intro... The layered vocals sound great!!! The recording sounds a touch 'distant'... maybe the levels..??
I like the melody and the guitar throughout!!

I know what u mean re - levels etc, but we don't have much money and the recording studios around here aren't the best, but you get the idea of what we're about.....good melodic songs with big anthemic singalong chorus !
Ron, u are officially a friend of the Green!

Wow - very cool sound. I like the guitar riff. the sound reminds me of a blend of Southern Rock with ?- but it's from Scotland! Drum groove is cool too. I like! Nice guitar solo work integrated well with the overall song. well done.

nice use of the piano on Talk To Me. good honest vocal tone, a little tasty delay but nothing overly drowned in effects- i dig that. good build-up with the layering. like the slightly-distorted guitar tone that's still basically a clean thing under the verse vocals; nice and midrange-squawky without being annoying. the break at 3:19-3:36 cuts things up nicely before the breakdown. pump up the volume on the pick slide before everything comes back in!
diggin' the intro on Peace Within. drummer's performance is excellent, he's hittin' it just right. sounds like the guitarist(s?) are diggin' the uptempo groove- nice flow. like the vocal harmonies- overall the lead vocal is a little loud compared to the rest of the mix. the performance overall is kinda loose, which i like- overpolishing kills the energy of a lot of otherwise good tunes. i'd consider following the chord changes where the vocals hold on "soul" during the chorus line "Peace within their soul". i read that you're interested in creating sing-along-anthem choruses- you guys nailed it here.
overall- sweet. positive messages. especially impressed with the drumming.
