mistrust returns to the UBW!!!!
Distant Shores (original mix)
A gentle repeating piano riff, lush pads, and vocoded vocals.
The lyrics were taken from a poem called "distant shores" by C.Shivers, which I read out at my wedding a couple of years ago. It's the first version of the track. See what you think. There's another version of it which I may release soon.
I guess it's "easy listening" but I used VST plugins in Cubasis.
Not really looking for a review - so maybe it should be "easy listening electronica" |

Another Mistrust tune destined to become a classic!
Distant Shores (original remix)
Close your eyes, get comfortable and be prepared to experience a slow drift through lush synth, futuristic vocals, and HUGE ambience! Mistrust has done it again with Distant Shores (original remix).
Most songs that you listen to tell a clear story and lead you into the emotion that the writer wants you to feel. With Mistrust, and his style of music, your mind is open to interpret the sounds as you see fit. Some may see it as happy, some may see it as sad. Ultimately the emotion comes from within.
Excellent song Mistrust...

Thanks for the great reviews, guys! Now that I'm back, I'll get reviewing some tracks myself. I can actually download tracks properly now. Used to have problems getting them to d/l.
Just a brief reply about some of the comments on the tracks...As minusme said:

....I've never thought of my tracks in that way before.
I guess most of my tracks start off with any idea about the sort of emotion I want to convey, but by the time I've finished recording and editing them, they seem to have taken on all of the highs and lows of the time I've been working on them. It probably explains why there's allsorts of moods and sounds in there. |
