Some Ways To Promote Yourselves On UBW

1/ SIGNATURE: Place a link to your music on Unsigned Band Web in you signature
which can be added by going into your profile through the big red
tool bar above. This gives people easy access to your page and
saves time re-typing it out.

2/ REVIEWS: Ask for reviews often. Not only will you gain valuable feedback your
music, you will also get people listening in and possibly returning
time after time, spreading the word to others.

3/ PROMOTION: May seem obvious, but a lot of people don't do it, then wonder
why they don't get the hits. Promote yourself once for each
track, then once a month for the whole page. Only do this in
the promo thread, do not cross-post across the board.

4/ RE-DIRECTION: If you have a website with limited space you can do one of two
things. Link, from the menu bar to your page if you do not
have a Premium Artist page, or deep-link from your site.

5/ WORD: If you're apart of any other forums/OMD's then add a link to a track
or your artist page to your signature, making your plays here increase
even more.

The important thing to remember is that Management Firms and labels do visit and, if you have it enabled, will see how many people listen/download your music. The more listens/downloads, the more likely they are to take an interest.

And, if you can sign up for Premium Status and get artist rotation on the homepage, increasing your exposure.

- hang out in the forums and review other people's stuff. They're gonna wonder "who's this dude reviewing me?" "Is he any good?"

yeah i think reviewing other bands is a good deal all the way around- you get exposed to new stuff (crucial for any musician or fan) plus you get your name/link(s) in more forums, not to mention reciprocal reviews.

i follow up a lot of links for the hell of it and wind up checkin' out sites by other bands away from this site- which is khoul because it gives you an idea of what you might try in terms of promotion or presentation that you haven't thought of on yer own.

there's a ton of good music here, love the mix of the really green/raw acts with all the polished stuff. pretty refreshing after 8 million times of hearing the same ol' same ol' on the radio.

good advices i've been making exactly near the same things here and on other good omds i like, there are lots of effort to do to deserve beeing listened and enjoyed by public...i especially believe in feedback power on song and would love a better rate review system in ubw it could boost the community, i mean a lot of peoples would get excited about having mini rating ubw poll for songs, stars for rate with differentes review attributes, the better review site is www.internetdj.com it's a very active site maybe the more active in reviewing song of the earth Smile

we should do the same at uwb, peoples that get a poll with links to the artist or name of the members with a medium rates ect...blah ! Cool
