oh yeah--
it's me yet another time to aske more really goofy questions.....; )
the first question is....how does an artist get to be a part of the "radio block"...spefically for me, i'd love to be a part of the "acoustic radio block".....
next question is--WHEN i listen to the radio block, and i hear a song i really like, how on earth do i know WHO that artist is--how can i find out as i listen, b/c on my screen, it does NOT tell me... ) :
also, ok--about the whole points system....WHERE very specifically can i go to SEE exactly WHAT i can get from the total of points i have earned now?
i feel pretty sure i've earned enough to "cahs out" for something--any site promo...etc....

Hi & Welcome Back!
1)Currently ALL artists are included in the radio block (including you!), so depending on what 'genre' you have set your songs to, they will show up on that block station. They will also show up in the 'all genre' station. Since there are a total of about 3,000 songs, you would have to be somewhat patient to hear yourself on there. The playlists randomly generated each time someone listens. This feature will be changed to a premium feature at some point in the future.
2)Each song contains MP3 Tags within the song file that list the artist, song name, and some other info. The players use these tags to tell the listener "WHO" they are listening to. Depending on which player you are using, this information could be shown in different places. If you use Windows Media Player, it will show up on the screen with all the psychedelic effects. (If the artitst did not fill out these tags then they will not show up.)
3)Points system. This is a relatively NEW feature that was designed to ENCOURAGE visitors to leave artist feedback, song reviews etc, as well as artist to promote themselves from our forums. Both of which help to build the community. I am currently working on creating some UBW gear that can be purchased with points (t-shirts, coffee mugs, etc...). Regarding artist page upgrades, there are currently two you can purchase with points. You can upgrade to our basic package (lowest premium package) and you can buy the dynamic signature you see throughout our forums. (stats that some people have in all of their messages with a link to their artist page) The Points store can be found by clicking on the [Points Store] link in the Arcade menu at the top of the forums.
