Soulfish reviews Atlantis Knight
Arctic Night of fear - Proper rock - you can hear the Deep Purple oozing out between the riffs. The vocals give more than a nod to Iron Maiden and overall the song is well written and played. There are a few moments when the timing goes out between the rhythm guitar and the lead. As a first song though it bodes well.
Beyond the Skies - The tappping bought a smile to my face! This is the gritty rock of Rock City, Lemmy and a thousand black T-shirted,tight black jeaned, greasy haired "piss off mum I'm going to stay in my room and play my music really LOUD" kids. I can picture a heaving mosh pit. Again the Iron Maiden in the vocal line means that I draw an instant comparison - as such I would suggest tracking up the vocal as it sounds like it really needs a bit more strength and texture to it. I like the fact that you move about alot in the song (solo, middle 8 verse. chorus, all have a different slant)
I would suggest the emphasis on your next recordings focus on the production and getting a really clear sound as these ones sound a bit muddy to my ears. There's definitely something there though, I reckon that you need to keep writing and tightening up the playing technically(it's a never ending mission round my way!) but that's just my take on it!
Check out a track called "Rational Eyes" by Threat Signal on this site if you want to hear what I mean by a clean sound on the drums and guitars - they also track up vocals in the choruses.

thanks for the review
yeh we know the recording isint perfect, we did 3 songs in 3 hours and mixed it. were busy rerecording them and doing more songs, but were doing it properly this time and the vocals are been doubled tracked, i have one song so far for the new e.p but im unable to upload it because we have not copyrighted it yet. once the cd is done. i will upload them.
