Just curious as to how many are on dial up modem.
$50 added to the bill a month is a tad expensive I feel for broad-band over here. Is this normal pricing?
If there's enough of us, we could form a club and cry together. then laugh, then cry and laugh again.
There are a heap of artists here whose lofi is awesome quality in all genres. I'd love to know why. Sample rate? Mastering? There is a fine line between them sometimes and any comments regarding how would be mmmmost welcome.. |

I'm on broadband
There should be more lo-fi though, cause even broadband runs slow at times. Which is why I try and upload everything in lo-fi for everyone to make it easier...
LO-FI people.....more plays, expand the fan base...it's not a poor man's upload stream...it's vital to all |

I think the difference in lo-fi is attributable to the quality of the master and the bit-rate..
If the master is good, then even 24kpbs will sound good, if not, then 48kbps is probably better...

Makes good sense. I over looked the bitrate when uploading last 2 songs, and thanks to Unproject who spotted it, have since increased it.
thanks for all your replies |

I think mono lofi sounds much better than stereo at same bitrate. seems to me the stereo only makes sense at higher bitrates and for lofi it makes sense to put the limited bit depth to work into a mono signal. Not sure if this is generally accepted to be true though?
