oh my!
this is becoming exhausting--as i know it must be for you to keep answering all my weird questions.
i don't get the points thing....at least not yet.
meaning, as i accumulate points and want to "cash them in", what can they be cashed in for---meaning--what can i earn?....where can i go to read about what all i can earn and when /how can i go "cash them in"?
i went to the points page, but it just tells me HOW to earn more points, not WHAT i am potentially earning points for.....
sorry, i'm still a bit foreign to this site still--obviously! (:
but, i'm trying to catch myself up to speed.
(hopefully not at your expense!!!) (:

Hi anne!
When you're on the Main forums page ya will see a link, top of the page, called "point store".....check it and ya'll find all what ya can trhis points are made for.....

Ask as many questions as you want!!!!
There is a points store in the menu at the top of the forums with the current items for sale using points... To save you a trip 
 Upgrades to your artist page (more space for uploads)
More Themes (give your artist page some pizzazz!)
Stats in forum posts (you'll see some of our artists have their stats on all their messages, this can be purchased with points)
future:
Coming Soon.... Unsigned Band Web T-shirts, Coffee Mugs, Stickers, etc...

It's reached directly from the main forum page. probably wouldn't hurt to put a link on the points store link on the points link too though like you mention.
check out the store, but you can earn points to buy extra song space, more artist page themes, a cool dynamic signature with song stats in your post, or neat glowing effects and different colors for your name and other such frivolity in the the forums . You'll not different people in the forums have different appearances of their names. I think minusme is also working on Tshirts , coffee cups and bow-ties  , but not available currently.

i used to work for a record label (nashville, tn) in customer service--and there were days i thought i was gonna lose it!
people would call is and ask the stupidest of questions....(sort of like me tonight)
at times, i wish i had had a gun to just shoot the phone to pieces!!!! hahahah!
and, i'm not the violent type, really. (:
(i'm really a very nice, friendly person!)
but, i think my creativeness was being shot to hell and back by all the igmo questions.
it drained me beyond words.
so, i REALLY appreciate you and greatly admire your excellent hospitality.

Hey Ron - did you get that? I reread it and don't know what I was talking about What I meant was it'd make sense to put a link to the points store from here

Glad you clarified... I thought maybe I just wasn't getting enough sleep ...
I agree and i actually plan on updating the points page with some new information (like the refer points, etc....) I'll add the link to the store as well...

funny. I read that like "reefer points" on first time through....
listening to the Rose Reiter CD right now. It is so darned good. One of those CD's that keeps getting better the more you play it. Can't wait for her new album to come out.
