Ill give you Annie Lenox, she is a genuine talent from Scotland.
But Texas? I wouldnt even call them a band anymore since as soon as Ms Spiteri got even the slightest whiff of cash she fired the rest of the band and took all the cash for herself ad the guitarist. Thats not talent, that just sucks. She only kept the name cause it sold records, that are often written by others. Check out the texas website, tell me if you see any other members of the band represented there.
What about Nazareth, the great lost rock band from Scotland. They can fill stadiums in some countries, and yet at home they are shunned, able only to play the local pubs in their home country.
